What I had done was turned the interior brightness for the dash lights all the way up which caused the interior lights and the exterior bed lights to stay on even with the doors closed. x2. It makes you never forget to make sure your door are close, because when you come back the battery will be dead for sure. Reply. SOURCE: door ajar light & washer fluid light & bell dings, sound like your fluid sensor may be stuck or bad if light stays on try tapping the washer motor on the resevoir if it goes out faulty sensor as for the door ajar light it might have bad connection with sensor saying the door is closed local dealer should be able to troubleshoot sensor this just developed today: when you try any of the door handles, and the dome {and mirror} lights will come on like they are suppose to but they will saty on for at least a half hour. one suggestion was lube the door latches, which I did, another said it could be the GEM or Interior light relay {whatever they are}. anyone had a condition like this?

HELP my F150 lights will not turn off. I would like any help I can get on a preplexing problem. First, after turning on my headlights, then turning them completely off, the headlights go off, but my front parking lights, tail lights and instrument lights stay on. After I removed my battery cable, of course they went off. The buttons got randomly pressed a few times as I tried to extract it, and the car emitted a beep at one point. Retrieve the keys, lock the doors with the fob, then notice about 10 minutes later all the lights are still on. Have tried unlocking and re-locking the car, including after starting the engine, and they will not go off.
